Tucson Symphony Orchestra Returns to Ajo

Conductor George Hanson

Musical good fortune shines on Ajo this week as the TSO takes to the stage of the Dicus Auditorium on Wednesday, February 18 at 7 pm.

Sponsored by the Ajo Council for the Fine Arts and the Desert Music Club, this year’s program, titled  “S’Wonderful”, is a pops concert.

The conductor is George Hanson. He’s conducted over 100 orchestras on five continents and served as assistant to Leonard Bernstein for seven years. This year marks his 20th year with the TSO as Music Director.

Tickets are $15 in advance, $18 at the door. Students are free. Tickets available at Chamber of Commerce, Ajo Copper News, Raven’s Nest and Shadow Ridge RV office.

If you attended last year’s concert you know what an enjoyable evening awaits. If you’ve never been before, well, what can I say! Get your tickets early and join us. 🙂
