Art & Advocacy for the Homeless

Organizers held a gallery opening and fundraiser January 29 to raise money for Ajo’s homeless.

The photos, by Jon Linton, are on exhibit at Art Under the Arches Gallery until February 25.  They are part of “I Have a Name”, a project to restore dignity, compassion and understanding for those less fortunate.

The gritty images capture moments in the lives of homeless individuals in Arizona, some of whom we might not even give a second look if we saw them on the street.

The intent? ” … to create greater awareness in the effort to inspire change … delivering hope where hope has run thin. We are giving a voice to the silenced.”
